Is OptiTrade legit?
By the OptiTrade team · Last updated: November 5, 2026
Yes. OptiTrade is legit, not a scam: a real business selling TradingView indicators at optitrade.shop since July 2024. You pay through Shopify's checkout, and every payment is refundable under our Refund Policy, with no time limit. We are not a broker, never hold your money and never trade for you. Below are straight answers, complaints included.
We are optitrade.shop. We are not opti-trade.com, a different, unrelated site with a 1.7-star Trustpilot page, and not the Swiss company Optitrade & Service AG. See Is OptiTrade the same as Opti Trade? below.

How legit is OptiTrade?
OptiTrade is a real software business that has sold TradingView indicators at optitrade.shop since July 2024. Payment runs through Shopify's checkout, a public Refund Policy covers every payment with no deadline, and a real person reads every email to info@optitrade.shop. On Trustpilot, OptiTrade scores 4.3 out of 5 from 1,263 reviews.
You don't have to take our word for it. Here is what you can check yourself:
- Trustpilot: 4.3 out of 5 from 1,263 reviews (checked Nov 4, 2026), including the one-star reviews. Read them on Trustpilot.
- ScamAdviser: see its check of optitrade.shop.
- Our policies are public: Refund Policy, Terms, Privacy Policy and Risk Disclosure.
The complaints we see most are about cancelling and refunds. We answer both below, step by step.
Is OptiTrade a scam?
No. OptiTrade sells software, not investments. You buy access to indicators that run on your own TradingView chart, monthly for just $14 or $79 once for Lifetime. We never ask you to deposit money, never handle withdrawals and never touch your brokerage account. Many "OptiTrade scam" results are about other companies with similar names.
The usual signs of a trading scam, and how OptiTrade compares:
- Asked to deposit money so someone can trade for you? OptiTrade never takes deposits. The only payment you make is for the software.
- Asked to pay a fee to withdraw your balance? There is no balance and nothing to withdraw.
- An account manager who trades for you? OptiTrade never places trades and has no access to your brokerage account.
- Promised returns? We promise none. See Does OptiTrade guarantee profits?
If a site asks you to deposit money so it can trade for you, it is not OptiTrade.
Is OptiTrade the same as Opti Trade (opti-trade.com)?
No. OptiTrade at optitrade.shop sells TradingView indicators. "Opti Trade" at opti-trade.com is a different company, an online trading broker, and "OptiTrader AI" is a trading product sold under similar names. We have no connection to either. Regulator warnings you may find under those names are not about optitrade.shop. We never take trading deposits or process withdrawals.
Search results and AI answers sometimes mix these up. Here is who is who:
| Name or website | What it is | Connected to us? |
|---|---|---|
| optitrade.shop (payments on checkout.optitrade.shop) | OptiTrade: TradingView indicators | This is us |
| opti-trade.com, user.opti-trade.ltd, opti-trade.online ("Opti Trade") | Online trading broker | No |
| "OptiTrader AI" | Trading product of look-alike sites | No |
| kimonsage.com / optitrade.online ("Optitrade") | Separate trading site with its own Trustpilot page | No |
| "OptiTrade EA" on MQL5 | MetaTrader expert advisor | No |
| optitradetech.com | Options trading software | No |
| optitrade.ch | Swiss wholesale company | No |
| Optitrade & Service AG (Swiss company) | Separate Swiss company | No |
Reviews of those companies, on Trustpilot or anywhere else, are not about us. Our own Trustpilot page is trustpilot.com/review/www.optitrade.shop.
Who runs OptiTrade, and where is it based?
OptiTrade is a software business based in Switzerland, run by a small team of traders and software engineers. It has sold its TradingView indicators at optitrade.shop since July 2024 and runs its store on Shopify. You can reach the team at info@optitrade.shop, where a real person reads every email.
What is OptiTrade AI, and what does it do?
OptiTrade AI is our set of four core TradingView indicators: OptiTrade V1.0, 2.0 TP-SL, 2.0 HWR and 2.0 Buy-Sell. They draw buy and sell labels, trend lines and exit levels on your own chart and can send you alerts. You decide every trade yourself. It works on TradingView's free plan, on desktop, tablet and phone.
- Core indicators: OptiTrade V1.0, OptiTrade 2.0 TP-SL, OptiTrade 2.0 HWR and OptiTrade 2.0 Buy-Sell.
- How you get it: after you order, log in on your access page with your order email and street address, copy your personal code and paste it into TradingView's Pine Editor. Lifetime codes never expire. No TradingView username needed.
- Alerts: push, email or webhook alerts through TradingView. If your broker or a connector accepts TradingView webhooks, you can automate orders yourself. Automated orders can lose money too.
- What it is not: charting software, not a broker, an adviser or a fund. It never places trades for you, never holds your money and gives no personal advice. Every user sees the same labels. OptiTrade is not affiliated with TradingView.
New here? The setup guide shows every step.
Is OptiTrade a copy of a free TradingView indicator?
No. OptiTrade is not a re-sold free script. Like many TradingView scripts, some of the OptiTrade scripts use free, public open-source Pine libraries as building blocks. What you buy is the full OptiTrade indicator set, its settings and your personal access, together with the setup guide and support.
The claim comes from a Reddit thread that says OptiTrade copies the free Lorentzian Classification indicator. Building on public Pine libraries is common on TradingView, and we would rather tell you than have you find it on Reddit. If OptiTrade isn't worth it to you, every payment is refundable under our Refund Policy.
Does OptiTrade repaint?
No. Once a label appears on your chart, it stays on the same bar at the same price. Labels are not repainted, recalculated or removed after the fact, so a label you saw on your chart yesterday is still there today.
Does OptiTrade guarantee profits?
No. No indicator can promise profits, and we don't. OptiTrade's labels and levels come from calculations on past price data. They don't predict the market, and any trade can end in a loss. Only trade with capital you can afford to lose. What we do promise is a refund of what you paid us, under our Refund Policy.
Is AI trading legit? Software that marks up your chart is a normal, legal tool. The red flag is anyone who promises fixed returns or asks you to hand over your money so they can trade it. We do neither. OptiTrade gives no financial advice, and every user sees the same labels. Trading stocks, forex, crypto, futures or CFDs carries a real risk of loss. Read our full Risk Disclosure.
What do OptiTrade reviews on Trustpilot say?
On Trustpilot, which we don't run, OptiTrade has a 4.3 TrustScore from 1,263 reviews: 70% five-star and 13% one-star. Happy reviewers mention fast setup and clean, easy-to-read charts. Most recent one-star reviews are about cancelling, refunds or late signals. We answer each of those on this page, and every review is public.
What critical reviewers say most: cancelling was hard to find, a refund took too long or was refused, some signals came late, and support answered slowly. Our answers: refunds, cancelling, late signals, support.
Read every review, good and bad, on Trustpilot. What buyers say, in more detail: OptiTrade reviews.
What does Reddit say about OptiTrade?
The Reddit thread Google shows most is "Optitrade opinions?" on r/TradingView, started in January 2025. The first buyer found it okay but inconsistent. Later replies, into 2026, call it a scam and say refunds were refused, signals were too rare and charges kept coming after cancelling. Some of that is fair criticism, some is wrong, and we answer each.
The thread is Optitrade opinions? on r/TradingView. Here is each claim made in its replies, in our own words, with what is true today:
- OptiTrade is a scam. It is TradingView indicator software sold through Shopify's checkout since July 2024, with a public Refund Policy and a support address. We never take deposits or touch your broker account. See the full answer, and who is who for look-alike companies.
- Refunds were refused, or proof was asked for first. Several replies say a refund request was met with questions or advice to test more. Our Refund Policy today needs no reason: we may ask questions or offer help first, but every payment is refundable, with no time limit. See refunds.
- Charges kept coming after cancelling. This can happen when a second plan on the same email is still open, when payments were stopped only inside PayPal, when a retry of an earlier failed payment went through later, or when a cancel request sent by email was not processed before the next renewal. See charged after cancelling. Any such charge is refundable too.
- Cancelling is hard to find. It is harder to find than it should be, so here it is in full: how to cancel.
- Results are inconsistent, signals are late or too rare. Indicators built on past prices react after a move has started, ours included. How often labels appear depends on the timeframe and the filters you switch on: a daily chart with the strictest filters shows very few. The setup guide explains the settings. No result is promised, and any trade can lose. In return, a label never moves or disappears once it is on your chart.
- It copies a free indicator. Some of our scripts use free, public open-source Pine libraries as building blocks; OptiTrade is not a re-sold free script. See the full answer.
- OptiTrade's TradingView profiles were taken down. Until March 2026, access ran through invite-only scripts on our TradingView profile. Since March 2026 you get a personal code on your access page and paste it into TradingView's Pine Editor yourself, so a profile takedown can no longer cut your access.
- Emails go unanswered. Some replies say emails went unanswered. Every email to info@optitrade.shop is read by a real person; write from the email you bought with and add your order number so we can find it straight away, rather than replying to a no-reply email. See how to contact us.
Does OptiTrade really give refunds?
Yes. Under our Refund Policy, every payment you have made to OptiTrade is refundable, with no time limit, and no justification is required. Email info@optitrade.shop from the address you used to buy and include your order ID if you have it. Refunds go back to your original card or PayPal account and take 7 to 10 business days to process.
- Any payment, any time. The current charge, last month's, or every charge you have ever made. It is your call which ones.
- We may offer help first. If we believe there is a simple fix, we may ask questions or offer help before refunding. You still don't need to give a reason.
- What it covers. A refund returns what you paid OptiTrade. It does not cover trading losses, broker fees or a separate TradingView subscription.
- Cancelling is separate. Cancelling stops future billing. It does not by itself return money already paid. To do both, cancel and email us.
The full terms: Refund Policy.
How do I cancel OptiTrade?
Open the "Welcome on board!" email from OptiTrade and click "manage subscription" at the bottom. On the page that opens, scroll to the end, press "Cancel my subscription", pick a reason, press "Lose Access" and confirm with "Cancel it". You keep access until your paid period ends. Lifetime is never billed again. Lost the email? Write to info@optitrade.shop.
- After the button: pick a reason, click "Lose Access", then confirm with "Cancel it". A confirmation email follows within about a minute.
- Can't find the email? Search every folder, including spam and promotions, for "Welcome on board" or "OptiTrade". The link sits at the very bottom of the email.
- Two plans on one email? Each subscription has its own link and has to be cancelled on its own.
- Paid with PayPal? You can also stop the payment in PayPal under Automatic payments: look for the entry with the date and amount of your purchase. Please use the link or email us as well, so the subscription is closed on our side too.
- Still stuck? Email info@optitrade.shop from the email you bought with, write "Cancel", and we will take care of it.
Full step-by-step guide: How to cancel OptiTrade.
Why was I charged after I cancelled?
A second plan on the same email may still be open, a payment stopped only in PayPal leaves the plan open, a retry of an earlier failed payment can go through later, or a cancel email was not processed before the next renewal. Email info@optitrade.shop with the date and amount, and we'll look it up.
Each plan has its own cancel link, so if you bought twice, cancel both. Every payment you've made to us is refundable under our Refund Policy.
Is it safe to pay OptiTrade?
Yes. You pay on checkout.optitrade.shop, which is Shopify's secure checkout, and we never store your card number. You can pay by card, PayPal or a wallet such as Shop Pay, or choose the digital currency checkout. Monthly renews until you cancel it. Lifetime is one payment and is never billed again.
- Prices are in US dollars. Your bank or PayPal may show the amount converted to your currency.
- Every payment stays refundable, with no time limit. See refunds.
- Monthly renews automatically each billing cycle until you cancel. How to cancel.
How much does OptiTrade cost, and is there a free trial?
OptiTrade is monthly for just $14, renewing until you cancel, or $79 once for Lifetime access that is never billed again. There is no free trial and no free download. Instead, every payment is refundable under our Refund Policy. Both plans include the same four core indicators and the same refund terms.
Indicators offered as a "free download" elsewhere, or sold on sites such as Etsy, are not from us.
How do I contact OptiTrade customer service?
Email info@optitrade.shop. A real person reads every email, and we usually reply within a few hours on business days. Please write to that address rather than replying to emails from no-reply@optitrade.shop, which can't be answered. You can also ask setup questions in our Discord community. We have no phone line and no live chat.
To help us find your order fast, write from the email you ordered with and add your order number if you have it. Answers to common questions are in the Help Center.
