Bounce Zones
Updated
Bounce Zones automatically finds and draws the support and resistance areas where price is most likely to react — no manual line-drawing needed. Green zones are demand (support) below price; red zones are supply (resistance) above it.
How it works
- Bounce Zones scans recent history for pivot highs and lows — the swing points where price turned.
- Around each significant pivot it draws a zone (a box), sized by the candle's wick/body relative to volatility (ATR), extended to the current bar.
- Red supply zones form above price at pivot highs; green demand zones form below price at pivot lows.
- Overlapping zones are merged automatically to keep the chart clean.
- A zone is removed the moment price closes through it — a resistance zone disappears once price closes above it, a support zone once price closes below it — so only zones that still matter remain.
Settings
- Pivot Size
- How significant a swing must be to create a zone. The higher the pivot size, the bigger (and more significant) the zones — and the fewer of them.
- Candles Searched
- How far back the indicator looks for zones. Higher = more history considered and more zones drawn.
How to use it
- Look for OptiTrade buy signals near a green demand zone, and sell signals near a red supply zone — those setups have a natural place to react.
- Zones make sensible spots to consider a Stop Loss (just beyond a zone) or a Take Profit (at the next zone).
- Raise Pivot Size for only the major levels; lower it to see more, smaller zones.
