Volume Pro
Updated
Volume Pro shows you where the *real* buying and selling pressure is. It measures how much volume pushed price up versus down and turns it into an easy-to-read oscillator in a panel below your chart — with buy/sell labels when momentum flips. Volume often moves before price, so this can give you an early heads-up.
Reading it
- Two smooth lines (a fast and a slow) track the balance of buy vs. sell volume. Green means rising pressure, red means falling.
- The coloured columns show the raw buy-minus-sell volume for each candle.
- A Buy label prints when the fast line crosses above the slow line while pressure is low (a likely bottom); a Sell label prints when it crosses below while pressure is high (a likely top).
- Your candles are also tinted by volume tendency, so pressure shifts are visible right on the price chart.
Settings
- Fast LengthSignal Quantity
- The faster of the two smoothing lengths. Must be smaller than Slow Length. Smaller numbers = earlier but noisier signals.
- Slow LengthSignal Quantity
- The slower smoothing length. Must be larger than Fast Length. The bigger both numbers (and the gap between them), the fewer — but often more accurate — signals.
- Signal OptimizerSignal Accuracy
- A threshold that filters out weak crossovers. Higher = fewer but more accurate buy/sell labels.
- Color LengthCandle Colors
- How smooth the candle colouring is. Higher = smoother, calmer colour transitions.
How to use it
- Use Volume Pro to confirm an OptiTrade entry — a Buy signal backed by rising buy pressure is stronger.
- Watch for divergence: if price makes a new high but buy pressure doesn't, the move may be running out of steam.
- Raise the Signal Optimizer if you're getting too many labels; lower the lengths if you want earlier signals.
